    • Epocrates – This is almost a must have for anyone in the medical profession, we hear nothing but good about this app. It is a free drug database, where you will find dosage information, pricing guides and information about patients who shouldn’t be taking a particular drug for a reason – a really useful tool.

    • Calculate – another key tool, this is a complex app that offers a range of calculations and medical information to support your diagnosis. Look at suggested treatment and drugs and determine the patient’s prognosis, all from the palm of your hand, and again it’s free.

    • Free Medical Dictionary- No matter how hard we try, sometimes meanings escape us. Never be thrown again if a patient throws a word at you that you know but can’t quite place. This little app will save your bacon and also be useful in many other scenarios.
